Independence Day Protesters In Abuja Demand President "Buhari Must Go"

Earlier today, the Independence day, Protesters took to the streets of Abuja to demand that "Buhari must go". Protesters made up of mainly young Nigerians stormed the Dantata Bridge along Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Road in Abuja carrying placards with inscriptions: "#Muhammadu Buhari". “Revolution” among others.

The protest came on the day the country is celebrating its 61st Independence Anniversary. They also made bonfires on the highway.

However, as of the time of filing this report, heavily armed policemen have dispersed the protesters with tear gas canisters.
