You Can't Exchange Biafra For Igbo Presidency, It's Not Your Right -bnl Tells Igbos

By Biafra Nations League

Biafra Nations League, BNL has rebuked South East Governors, and Ohanaeze Ndigbo for disowning the Pro Biafra groups, warning the Igbo leaders to desist from attempting to hijack the Biafran struggle to make it look like an Igbo affairs. The National Leader of BNL, Princewill Chimezie Richard said that the Biafra struggle is far beyond the struggle for ethnic interest. He said the South East Governors and Ohanaeze are misleading the public by projecting the Igbo Presidency as a solution to the Biafran struggle.

The BNL Leader said Biafra is about the freedom of all inhabitants of the Bight of Biafra in Nigeria and cannot be exchanged for President of Igbo extraction. He said the BNL has made inroads into many parts of the East outside Igbo land and do not want some South East people to use the name of Biafra as opportunity to seek settlement from the Federal Government, thereby excluding people from other areas whose youths are involved in the struggle and are entitled to be at the negotiating table if need be.

Meanwhile, the group has reacted to Former Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha's claim that Igbos will loose if Nigeria breaks up. Princewill said Rochas was afraid of all his investment in northern Nigeria, adding that "we can't because some people have sworn to continue to invest in the north and end the struggle for independence, no. Biafra is needed more than securing individual investments. Is Rochas blind? Was he not aware of the abandoned property of Igbos in many parts of Nigeria? Yet, he went investing in the north and now telling us what not. I will advise he repatriate his wealth home".

BNL said that Biafra people suffered during the war because the crisis affected their farming habit added to the blockade of the Eastern Region. He vowed that BNL would not give chances for such blockade to take effect in any part of the territory.
