Borno To Partner With Security Agencies on 25-Year Development Plan

Borno State Government has assured of its readiness to partner with all security agencies in the state for the Successful implementation of the 25 year development plan recently launched by the state Government.

The State Deputy Governor, Hon. Umar Usman kadafur stated this Thursday when the Assistant Controller General of immigration, Dr Abubakar Lawan kankara in charge of Zone C paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Maiduguri.

The Deputy Governor commended the AIG for expressing willingness to key into the 25 year-state development plan, stressing that, the state Government will continue to support them and make their work easier.

The AIG who is in the state in company of all the controllers of the states under zone C comprising of Borno, Yobe, Bauchi, Gombe, and Plateau States said they were in the state on farmilarazation tour of all formations in the Zone.

The visit according to the AIG will also accord them the opportunity to discuss intelligence gathering and information sharing on how to possibly secure the borders against the influx of illegal aliens into the country.

The AIG pledged to key into the 25-Year state development plan in the areas of documentation especially for those coming from outside the country to invest in the state.

He however appealed to the Borno state government to assist the Zone With logistics to enable them train their staff on information sharing and intelligence gathering among others.
