COVID -19: OPC Reaches Out to Members, Share Food Items

The Oodua Peoples’ Congress, OPC has rolled out an initiative to support vulnerable members of the organization in the face of the prevailing reality of lockdown occasioned by COVID -19 pandemic in Lagos State. The items comprise of various food stuffs.

According to the leadership of the organization, the support programme will be extended to members in other states of South West and beyond.

Handing over the items to the Lagos State administrator of OPC, Alhaji Afeez Olubisi Sadiq, the President General, Aare Prince Osibote said: “Following the noble steps of our late founder, Dr. Frederick Fasehun and the virtuous character of the Yorubas, I present these items as our modest initiative to complement the effort of the government to ameliorate the negative effects of the lockdown on vulnerable members of the organization”.

He urged the Lagos State leadership of the organization to be guided by fairness, discipline, and honesty in distributing the food items. “Our organization have a very well structured administrative protocol that trickles down to the last member. As usual, diligence, conscientiousness, allegiance and unalloyed passion to our collective responsibility must be at fore in carrying out this task.

The OPC leader used the opportunity to call on their patrons and good spirited members on the public to support by donating to the initiative in caring for their vulnerable members at this critical time.
