Kanayo Nwandu Akunwata Enugwu Ukwu Boosts Anambra Covid-19 Fund with N5million.

The Chairman/CEO of Master Holdings Limited, Chief Kanayo Nwandu, Akunwata Enugwu-Ukwu na Umunri has donated the sum of N5million (Five Million Naira) to the Anambra State Covid-19 Appeal Fund.

The cheque donation was made on behalf of Chief Nwandu by the President General of Enugwu-Ukwu Community Development Union (ECDU), Comrade Bonny Ozo Nkwuaku, at a brief ceremony held on 17th April 2020 at Government House, Awka.

Comrade Bonny Ozo Nkwuaku revealed that the donation by Akunwata to the State Fund is the second tranche of his support for the Covid-19 containment efforts in the state. He had earlier donated N5million in support of the government palliative measures in Enugwu-Ukwu community.

Akunwata also commended the State Government for effective management of the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak.

Acknowledging the donation on behalf of Anambra Covid-19 Committee, the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu, thanked Chief Nwandu, Akunwata Enugwu Ukwu na Umunri and described him as an illustrious son who shows commitment in matters concerning the state.

Prof Chukwulobelu, called on other philanthropists to emulate the benevolence of Akunwata by supporting the state efforts by donating to the fund as well as offering palliative support to the communities.

Chukwulobelu explained that the process of treating Coronavirus is expensive and that all money realised from such donations will be duly committed to the Covid-19 contsinment and whatever is left will be deployed to the State health sector.
