65-year-old Grandpa defiles 10-year-old girl

A 65-old-man, Sule Rauf has been arrested by men of Ogun state Police Command for defiling a 10-year-old girl.

The arrest of the suspect followed a complaint lodged by the father of the victim, one Fahinhun Mathew who reported at Idi-roko Divisional Police Headquarters that the suspect who is living in their neighborhood sent his daughter on an errand and when the girl came back, she was lured into his room where the old man forcefully defiled her.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi told The Nigerian Voice that the little girl informed her dad when when she came out of the suspect's room.

The PPRO said "Upon the report, the DPO Idi-roko Division CSP Aloko Amodu swiftly detailed his detectives to N0. 7 Araromi Street Ilase where the suspect resides and he was promptly arrested."

"On interrogation, the randy old man admitted that he defiled the girl. He claimed not to know what led him to it."

Oyeyemi said the girl has been taken to General hospital for medical attention and report.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Bashir Makama ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labor Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for proper investigation and prosecution.
