San Francisco, June 10, (THEWILL) – The government of Ondo State today deposed the embattled Deji of Akure, Oba Oluwadare Adeshina from his throne and banished him from Akure.

The deposed 'Oba' had allegedly assaulted his wife, Bolanle Adesina in a street fight on Sunday, May 30, 2010, which left her with severe injuries.

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ogbonoya Onovo, yesterday ordered an investigation and instructed the state police commissioner to prosecute the now deposed King whose removal was announced after the weekly executive council meeting in Akure, the state capital.
