IGP deploys Owoseni to Benue as Police Commissioner

The last may not have been heard on the Benue masacre and the fallout consequent upon the ultimatum issued the IG of police by the Senate.

In an effort to pre-empt any unforeseen, the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Ibrahim Idris has drafted former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Fatai Owoseni to Benue State as commissioner.

Benue State is currently embroiled in herdsmen/farmers crisis which have claimed over 70 people in recent time.

Owoseni will replace Bashir Makama as the Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command.

Herdsmen crisis in Benue State is causing lots of ripples among Nigerians and has plunged down the rating of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
