Police Nabs Notorious Armed Bandit For Allegedly Killing Uncle

Police operatives in Delta State have arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect who had been on the wanted list for series of crimes for years over the alleged killing of his uncle at Enwhe town in Isoko South Local Government Area of the state.

It was learnt that the suspected bandit allegedly killed his uncle whose name was simply given as Okoromadi after a minor disagreement over their father’s property.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Zanna while confirming the incident in Asaba on Friday, said the suspect was arrested following a tip off.

Zanna said the suspect has been terrorizing the people in his community for years, but this time when he allegedly killed his uncle over a property, he escaped.

The CP declared that the suspect will be charge to court as soon as investigations are completed.

However, the suspect who expressed regret over the killing of his uncle explained that it was not intentional.

“I don’t intend to kill my uncle, it was a mistake, I hit him once with a wood, and he died. I know it was wrong but he is dead, I am regretting my actions, I beg for forgiveness”.

Meanwhile, a 36 year old woman has reportedly stabbed an 18 year old boy for allegedly raping her.

It was reliably gathered that the mother of two kids, escaped the community with her children to an unknown destination after stabbing the boy.

According to the sources, the woman and her husband were said to be having issues over their marriage following the deceitful life style of her husband who was always in the habit of sneaking out in the night to sleep with another women in the neighbourhood.

It was further gathered that the woman who was very much concerned over the husband movement complained bitterly to their relations and other neighbours in the community saying that the husband has been leaving the apartment in the middle of the night, in the disguise of going to urinate but only to have sex with other women.

When moves to stop her husband from having illicit affairs with other women did not yield the desired result, the woman raised the alarm to others for a possible advice on what to do in the circumstance she found herself.

Following the alarm raised by the woman, the 18 year old boy who resides in the neighbourhood was said to have advised the woman to come out in night naked and prayed to God for her husband to desist from the evil act.

It was also learnt that the women yielded to the young boy advice but only for her adviser (the boy) to turn around and rushed her to a hidden place and raped her.

Apparently stunned by the boy’s action, the woman became furious and stabbed the randy boy where he was having a rest and fled with her kids to an unknown place.

Meanwhile, the boy who was bleeding from the injuries sustained was later rushed to a private hospital by the relatives.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Andrew Aniamaka confirmed the story. He said the DPO at Sapele is yet to give him details of the matter.
