In a very unprecedented manner, a good number of eminent personalities of Ekiti State origin have united to underscore the role that the core values that are dear and traceable to the people of the state can play in socio-economic transformation and genuine development of the state.

This consensus was reached through a book titled; Ekiti State: Beyond Rhetoric, Myths and Sentiments; which is a collection of papers and discourse towards rejuvenation of Ekiti core values and bond for socio-economic transformation and genuine development of the state. The collection has distinguished papers from twenty four notable Ekiti personalities from diverse walks of life.

According to the editor of the book, Adesina Adetola, “relying on Ekiti’s legendary way of resolving issues and setting up agenda which have been famously termed Parapoism, the book tend to present an agenda that would ensure a sustainable and viable future that transcends current issues and focuses on steps to be taken to build a process and culture that will outlive people, institutions and political interest.” He stated

Speaking further, Adetola revealed; “what is however worthy of special mention is the uniqueness of each contribution and how it appeals to the readers and instigates development of the state. Perhaps the main objective of the book would have been defeated if the contributors appeared to be from the same background and of similar initiative”

Meanwhile, the book which is due for public presentation this October in Ado-Ekiti lived up to its unprecedented nature by having forewords from three great individuals of Ekiti origin in persons of a Professor of International Law and jurisprudence, University of Lagos, Akin Oyebode, board room specialist, Sir Remi Omotoso MFR and former Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Wole Olanipekun, SAN. ,
