Tyra Banks shared a rare Instagram of her son born through a surrogate

Tyra Banks is known for her unpredictable antics on television. However, in January 2016, she made a shocking announcement regarding her personal life by announcing that she and her longtime partner, Erik Asla, had become parents.

Through a surrogate, the couple welcomed a baby boy. The news came out publicly through an Instagram post of a baby hat and in the year and a half since only  shared two photos of her son , both when he was a newborn.

However, the supermodel decided to treat her fans to an updated picture of York in honor of Father's Day, with the star sparking a social media frenzy with the beautiful shot of the 18-month-old tot — who looks exactly like her.

York's striking eyes caught the most praise with Banks's follower noting that  the America's Next Top Model host had already taught her son how to  perfectly smile with his eyes. As one individual commented, “How did you teach that boy to smize already?”

Another added, “I see those fierce eyes, like mother like son.” While someone else said, “He is beautiful, looks just like you — I knew his eyes would be blue!!!!” One even screamed, “HOW IS HE A MODEL ALREADY?!”

Banks captioned the gorgeous photo with: “To all the amazing daddies out there that love their kids unconditionally like my mommy's daddy and my daddy, too… HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! – York”.

Tyra had previously admitted that her son had inherited her famous eyes, writing when she first announced his arrival: “The best present we worked and prayed so hard for is finally here.” She continued, “He's got my fingers and big eyes and his daddy Erik's mouth and chin. As we thank the angel of a woman that carried our miracle baby boy for us, we pray for everyone who struggles to reach this joyous milestone.”

Needless to say, York Banks Asla will probably be following in his mom's model footsteps in no time
