By STEPHEN LAWAN

New dates have been fixed for hearing in one of the cases between the

Kaduna State Government and members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria

following an application for the date by the Counsel representing the

IMN Barrister Maxwell Kyon.
The case, State versus Muhammad AwwalYakubu and others is adjourned to

28th and 29th of March 2017 when the complainants are expected to

continue presenting their witnesses.
The adjournment took place even as the state counsel brought his

principal witness Brigadier General UsmanKukasheka, the spokesperson

of the Nigerian Army before the court. For technical reasons beyond

the IMN counselan application for a new date for the hearing was

presented.
The state counsel conceded to the application on the grounds that he

be allowed to continue to present other witnesses pending when he is

able to bring the principal witness before the court again due to

their tight schedules and the logistics involved.
The High Court judge, Justice David Wyoms expressed his appreciation

to the witnesses for squeezing time out of their tight schedules and

other logistics to appear before the court while he also called on

them endeavor to come again when they are required to do so.

In a similar case before Justice HajaraGwada of Kaduna State High

Court, the ruling on an application for bail of some IMN members was

rescheduled for Thursday 2nd of March 2017 as decided by the court.
