Rangers FC qualified for the second round of the CAF Champions League after drawing 0-0 at home to JS Saoura of Algeria.

They  advanced on the away goals rule following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Rivers United FC strolled into the second round after whipping AS Real Bamako of Mali 4-0 in Port Harcourt, for a 4-0 aggregate victory.

Wikki Tourists have crashed out of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup competition, despite beating RSLAF of Sierra-Leone  1-0 in Bauchi today. But Rangers International and Rivers United advance into the next round of CAF Champions League.

Wikki Tourists  lost 1-2 aggregate, having conceded two goals away  to RSLAF in Sierra Leone in the first leg.

Also, FC IfeanyiUbah of Nnewi on Sunday in Ismaila crashed out of the 2017 CAF Confederation Cup competition, after losing to hosts Al Masry of Egypt.

The Nigerian side had defeated visiting Al Masry 1-0 on February 12 through a Tame Medrano 87th minute goal, and needed to avoid defeat to advance.

But they also lost by the same margin to Al-Masry, after a first half goal.

With a 1-1 aggregate end to the two legs of the fixture, the tie had to be decided by a penalty shootout which the Egyptian side went on to win 3-0.

FC IfeanyiUbah's loss meant Nigeria no longer has any representative in the 2017 edition of the competition.
