PDP says APC, Police are hatching grand plan to indict Gov Wike

The Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, says it notes, with feelings of vindication, the reaction of the All Progressives Congress, APC, through its Publicity Secretary, Chris Fynebone, purporting that the PDP is 'jittery'.

According to the statement, the APC by  alluding that the expected outcome of the Police Panel investigation into the December 10, 2016, Re-run Election killings in the State will indict Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and State PDP Chairman, Bro. Felix Obuah has unwittingly affirm PDP’s long held belief that the police and the APC are working handing in glove.

The statement was signed by the S pecial Adviser on Media and Publicity to Bro. Felix Obuah, PDP Chairman, Rivers State, Mr. Jerry Needam.

The Party described the APC response as clearly, a justification of its (the PDP) consistent position on an existing well lubricated alliance between the APC and the Police, as well as proof of a determined effort by both partners to by all means bring down the rising profile of Gov Wike, the PDP Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah and other leaders of the party in the State, having lost woefully in their several attempts and quest to take over government in the State through other undemocratic means.

The PDP explained that there are facts that can never be denied, saying this partnership between the APC leaders and the Police top authorities is with the sole aim of attempting to pull down Rivers State, wondering what would be their benefit, rather than the continued failure, disappointment and shame that they would get at the end of the day.

The PDP expressed optimism that all efforts made to implicate Gov Wike and its unfaltering Chairman, Bro Obuah, by the APC, the Police or the DSS will fail, as the Party is in custody of sterling evidences, attesting to the validity of its claim of obvious conspiracy and orchestrated attempt to rope the PDP leaders into actions and killings that APC leaders themselves are culpable of.

No one can cover up the truth, the PDP noted, believing that if genuine and objective investigations were to be carried out by independent bodies, not the Nigerian Police that are parties and have demonstrated high level compromise and proof of being perpetrators in the violence, killings and rigging that took place during the said elections in the State, in slick alliance with their paymasters (the APC), the world would have known the real truth of the matter.

The PDP called on the people to discountenance all fabricated and malicious statements and actions from both the APC and the Police on this matter, but reiterated its position to stand by the truth and to ensure that justice prevails on the killing and injustice meted on Rivers people during the elections.

It would be recalled that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had earlier raised the alarm of attempt by the APC to use the Police Panel to witch-hunt and malign the Governor, the Party Chairman and other leaders of the party, with a predetermined conclusion.
