Facebook, ICLDNG Partner To Launch Free Internet Safety Resources In Nigeria
Facebook has partnered with the International Centre for Leadership Development Nigeria (ICLDNG) to launch free internet safety resources for teenagers, parents and educators through its newly launched Safety Centre. The redesigned Safety Centre is available in over 50 languages.
The new Safety Centre walks people through the tools Facebook offers to control their experience on the platform, as well as numerous tips and resources for safe and secure sharing of information. It works well on mobile devices and includes step-by-step videos on a variety of useful safety topics.
An addition to Facebook’s Safety Centre is the Bullying Prevention Hub, a resource for teens, parents and educators seeking guidance on how to prevent and address bullying. Developed with the Yale Centre for Emotional Intelligence in 2013, Facebook now works with 50 partners around the world to make the Bullying Prevention Hub more widely available.
