Wizkid, ex-minister's daughter, KahLo get nominations for 59th Grammy Awards

Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid and Faridah Demola Seriki aka KahLo are the two Nigerians nominated for the prestigious 59th Grammy Awards holding in February 2017.

Faridah was nominated for Best Dance Recording 'Rinse & Repeat' - Riton Featuring Kah-Lo; while Wizkid was nominated alongside Canadian rapper, Drake, and Filipina R&B star, Kayla, for Drake's 2016 'Views' rap album.

'Views' was listed in the Album of the Year category.

Views is the fourth studio album by Canadian rapper Drake.

It was released on April 29, 2016, by OVO Sound, Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records, Boy Better Know and Republic Records.

Gushing with excitement, KahLo wrote on twitter: 'My phone keeps crashing from all the love, but thanks to every single one of y'all!'

She is an alumna of Hofstra Journalism in the United States.

On her Twitter handle,@thatKahLo, she describes herself as '(Un)fortunately multi-talented, monotone rap princess, wingman connoisseur .'

KahLo is the daughter of former Minister of Defence and Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, Chief Demola Seriki.
