Group Commend INEC, Security Agencies For Peaceful Conduct Of Ondo Poll

The group organisation for Global Youth Peace Empowerment And Development Initiative (OGYPEDI) has commended the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) and security agencies for peaceful conduct of the Saturday governorship election in Ondo state.

According to the group, from its observation, the election was peaceful and transparent, the commendation was made by the group National Coordinator Emmanuel Japhet Omene after a brief meeting of the executives of the group in Osun State.

Mr Omene who attributed the success of the election to INEC's adequate preparation said this has shown that there is hope for Nigeria democracy.

Also speaking, the Executive Director of the group Mr Mustafa Abdulrahman used the medium to task PMB to ensure adequate funding of agencies and parastals so as to ensure their efficient delivery of services to the Nigerian masses saying inadequate funding could hinder their effectiveness.
