2017 Budget: Osanebi consults stakeholders to harmonize interest.

Following the presentation of the Delta State Government's 2017 budget estimate to the State House of Assembly, Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai Osanebi yesterday in Ashaka convoked an interactive cum consultation session with PDP leaders, elders and stakeholders in Ndokwa East local government area to define projects that will be beneficial to all and of collective interest to the entire local government.

This became imperative following the current national and global financial crunch and to maximize resources accrued to the area in the 2017 budget.

It was at that Parlance that the Deputy Speaker called party elders and leaders and sort the views on project(s) that could be beneficial to all, considering the financial challenge and a way to better present the needs of the people to the government as work on the 2017 budget commences.

Osanebi led the house to review various road situation in the local government. He also said:" I know virtually all the communities in Ndokwa east need road, but we must be realistic.''

Major road projects that took center stage during the deliberation for consideration include: The bridge across Ase creek linking Beneku and Utagba-Ogbe, Akarai-Onyah road project, Iyede-Ame road, Aballa-Utchi road, Ibedeni-Ase road and the Iselegu-Inyi-Onuaboh road.

Osanebi took advantage of the large gathering to preach peace and love within the party and local government in general.

The Deputy Speaker assured the gathering that the party is in safe hands and challenged the party stalwarts to always make frantic efforts and sacrifices to move the party forward.

He also added that though the party might be having little challenges at the national level but it was only normal so that the party will become more stronger and better positioned to reclaim its mandate at the presidency come 2019.

"It's normal, and one of those things that must happen so that the party will be stronger, but I see light at the end of the tunnel", Osanebi noted in enthusiasm.

The Deputy Speaker also berated attitudes that were capable of causing crisis, saying that party faithful should shun envy and the likes, but always work in love and harmony.

Osanebi charged members to be more patriotic saying: "there's only one PDP in Ndokwa East and Ndokwa land; the PDP you belong, it's the PDP the governor belongs and that is where I belong, it's our party and we must protect and defend her always".
