Dan-Isan Kontagora Sends Thank You Message To Colleagues

Overwhelmed, the Dan-Isan Mai Sudan of Kontagora Emirate Council and member, representing Kontagora 1 constituency at the 8th Legislative Assembly of Niger State, Hon. Nuradeen Muhammed Umar has thanked his Legislative Colleagues for Honouring his Turbaning ceremony as well Wedding Fatiha with their esteem presence.

His THANK YOU message was read by the Speaker of Niger State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Marafa on Thursday 10 November, 2016 during a plenary sitting at the Jikantoro Assembly Complex in Minna.

Recall, Hon. Muhammed Nuradeen Umar was turbaned amidst glitz and glamour ; witnessed by persons of class and affluence from within and outside Niger State on Friday, 28th October, 2016 at the Sarkin Sudan’s Palace in Kontagora by his Royal Highness, the Sarkin Sudan of Kontagora, Alhaji (Dr) Saidu Namaska CON.

On Saturday, 29th October, Kontagora was brought to standstill-mode when Hon. Nuradeen Muhammed Umar took-in a second Wife in accordance with Islamic Jurisdiction. The wedding Fatiha had in attendance of dignitaries and who-is-who from all walks of life.

The Dan-Isan was collectively enjoined to be just and treat his wives with equal rights, love, mercy and sincerity as that is the only way to attain the pleasure and blessings of Almighty Allah.

He was reminded with a quote from the Holy Qur’an “And of His signs is that He has created spouses for yourselves from your own selves so you might take comfort in them and He has created love and mercy among both of you. In this there is evidence (of the truth) for the people who (carefully) think” Surah 30, Verse 21.

Both wives of the 1st Dan-Isan Kontagora ; Hajiya Saude Liman and Maryam Haruna were charged to consider themselves sisters in-progress while reminding them that, Marriage is an act of Ibadah before Almighty Allah as such, they need to put their heads together to support their Husband physically, spiritually and most importantly, morally as they are the hallmarks of successful and long-standing marriage.
