By Michael Ipheghe

The group organisation for Global Youth Peace Empowerment and Development Initative (OGYPEDI) has tasked the Edo State Governor Elect Dr Godwin Obaseki to take Youth empowerment as a crucial part of his administration.

The advice was given by the Executive Director of the group Mr Mustafa Abdulrahman after a brief executive meeting of the group in Benin, Edo State on Monday the 8th of November,he urged the incoming Obaseki led administration to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that youths in the state are empowered positively in all ramifications pointing out that youth empowerment is crucial for the development of the state and Nigeria at alarge.

The group attributed youth restiveness in the state to joblessness saying OGYPEDI will in its own way support youth empowerment programs of the obaseki led administration if needs be as one of the cardinal goals of the organisation is to ensure that youths are well empowered in our communities, country and on the global stage.

In the same vein, the National PRO of the group Mr Michael Ipheghe who spoke unbehalf of the National Coordinator Mr Japhet Omene Emmanuel, pointed out that youth empowerment is very crucial especially in a time that the youths are faced with the current economic hardship coupled with an alarming high rate of unemployment and job losses in the country, the group says the Godwin Obaseki incoming led administration would be on a positive side of history and posterity if it is able to implement a blue print that would ensure youths empowerment and employment in the state as promised during his campaign.

The group equally use the opportunity to once again caution the youths in the state and Nigeria at large to always be law abiding citizens as no nation can thrive well under unfriendly atmospher therefore, its imperative for all youths to shun all forms of unlawful practices and acts that are in contrast to peace.
