SAN FRANCISCO, October 13, (THEWILL) – The Consul-General of Equatorial Guinea in Nigeria, Juan Mbomio, and his wife, Maria, were shot by armed robbers, around the boundary between Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, while on their way to Calabar, where they are based.

The incident happened between 7.45pm and 8pm on Monday, October 10. Their vehicle, a Toyota Prado Sports Utility Vehicle, was blocked and the robbers started shooting from the back and front.
