The unfortunate deadly invasion of strange Fulani insurgents in the garb of herdsmen on Benue soils particularly and other communities across Nigeria in the recent times came with its attendant social and environmental devastation, grave psychological trauma and did raise serious concerns from stakeholders, leaders, and the followers alike. Baring the ominous possibility of eliminating an ethnic group and practically halting on their occupation which primarily is agriculture.

In his usual responsive , practical and benign nature, representative of the Benue North-East Senatorial District, Senator Barnabas Iyorher Gemade rose in the heat of this terrible upheaval to share in his constituents fears , challenges , hopelessness, discomfort and extremely obscene conditions by spreading succor and visibly ameliorating their grimy status.

Being a leader with an intrinsic connect with the downtrodden and in swift moral response to his obligation as an effective representative of the people, Senator Gemade rose early from his convenience to promptly attend to the needs of his battered, shelter-less and near malnourished IDPs across the Benue North-East Senatorial Zone.

Several relief materials in the range of food items to include several bags of rice, flour, milk, , mattresses, detergents, were transited to the various camps of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with the view to cut down on their untoward hardship, improve and add succor to their living conditions.

At the NKST Primary School, Anyiin in Logo Local Government Area, the people again beamed with satisfaction and glee as appreciation kept popping in across their ranks. In Jato-Aka, the Kwande Local Government Area IDPs camp, the experience was same as beneficiaries collective verdict on Senator Gemade’s sheer act of benevolence, relief, succor and a share in their plight remained of inestimable value to them, and further resonates the incontrovertible fact that their collective destiny, aspirations and interests are being squarely and roundly protected by their representative within the Nigerian state.

This mark of confidence is made more profound given that Senator BAI Gemade had earlier spearheaded the populist Bill meant to bring to a halt this dastard acts by Fulani marauders on his constituents, titled -A Bill for The Establishment of Ranches and Ranches Commission on the floor of the Hallowed Chambers. The salient benefit of this rewarding Bill will among other matters curb a resurgence of this ugly invasion and needless ethnic cleansing particularly against Benue state indigenes whose main occupation is farming.

With a consistent keep in touch with his people and a usual selfless attendance to heir sundry demands and needs, Senator Barnabas Gemade undoubtedly is acknowledged to yielding more selfless leadership and showing much care for the followers.
