Fatai Ayoola: An Accomplished Ajegunle Grassroots Politician with Mission

“Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes”.-Peter Drucker

For some time, I have been skeptical about Ajeromi-Ifelodun politics after the tsunami defeat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2015 general elections in the local government.

To Mindset Media Limited and Gabrio Voice Magazine, everyone that graces this platform must have a pedigree in all climes.

The man Hon.Fatai Adekunle Ayoola drew my attention recently after reading through a comprehensive, intellectual and well-edited interview by McAnthony Anaelechukwu, the publisher of community watch magazine, one of the newest best-selling magazines with creative vision to promote grassroots leadership in Nigeria.

With that detailed interview on Fatai Ayoola, I saw the tall ambition of this grassroots politician whose mindset to create a viable and reachable leadership in Ajeromi-Ifelodun if elected as the next chairman of the local government.

According to John Wolfgang Von Goethe says “A great person attracts people and knows how to hold them together. For Ayoola,Ajegunle remains his first home and he is ready to serve if given the party ticket to contest for the next local government elections.

One thing that makes Mindset Media Limited and Gabrio Voice Magazine to take on Fatai Ayoola, his active social media advocacy to promote quality grassroots leadership in Nigeria is worthy of emulation. Among the present Ajeromi-Ifelodun chairmanship aspirants, Fatai Ayoola is one man that knows the value of the media in promote effective grassroots politics in all ramifications.

As a trained philosopher and home-made Ajegunle politician, leadership is the core value of his ambition and with many avid-watchers of Ajegunle politics endorsing his aspiration, shows clearly that he has over the years not disconnected from the people even when fortune smiled on him. Mindset is not here to promote his political ambition but only the APC in the local government has the power to give him the ticket while voters make the choice of voting him into power or not.

Hon Fatai Ayoola is from Ibeju-Lekki of Lagos State. He attended Baptist Primary School School,Agbo Malu and later moved to Z.I Primary School,Araromi in Ora street,Akere, proceeded to Amuwo-Odofin Secondary education and Federal School of Arts and Science where he had his HND.As a man that loves education, he later attended University of Lagos where he obtained B.A degree in Philosophy and Master’s degree in Public Administration.

For 33 years till date, Ayoola has been playing active role in grassroots politics and his mission to provide quality education, health, youth empowerment and infrastructure. Only few aspirants can think towards this cardinal vision to ameliorate poverty in the local government.

Lastly, he has respect for political leaders before and after him and has a vibrant political network of reaching out to the average youth on the streets of Ajegunle. He is happily and blessed with children.
