The Emperor Against His Powerless Subjects—Tribute To Musa Azare
As I write this article, prolific writer, social critic and public opinion analyst, Musa Azare a very bosom pal of mine has just been released on bailed after several days in the police custody on the order of the Executive Governor of Bauchi state Emperor Muhammed A. Abubakar for the sin he have not committed. Although Musa Azare the pen pusher was accused of sharing a post on Facebook which was not in favour of Emperor Abubakar "Cyber Stalking".
APPARENTLY worried by the upsurge criticism and been unable to swallow the bitter pills of disgrace occasioned by this the Governor hurriedly close his Facebook account and immediately ordered the arrest and detention of this "Bawan Allah"
The truth is that he has not done anything wrong but the governor has finally decided to clamp down on all social critics and crusaders in the state by using cruel tactics against them.
However, it is needless reminding the Emperor that, today Bauchi people including religious and opinions leaders that supported him in 2015 general election have finally realized that the sound of a bitter cola is different from its taste.
As a pen pusher that is ready to change the cause of his generation, using the pen and advocacy.
Let me refresh the Emperor’s memory a little, Sir on Friday 29 May 2015 at 11:38 a.m at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa stadium you took a solemn vow to serve the people of Bauchi State and uphold her Constitution by declaring at a ceremony amidst tight security that.
“I,Muhammed Abdullahi Abubakar do solemnly swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to the Federal Republic of
Nigeria; that as Governor of Bauchi State , I will discharge my duties to the best of my ability, faithfully and in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the law, and always in the interest of the sovereignty, integrity, solidarity, well-being and prosperity of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and that I will devote myself to the service and well-being of the people of Bauchi State, So help me God".
Mr Governor you made the above declaration in an oath administered by the then Acting Chief Justice of the state Justice Rabi Talatu Umar while holding the Holy Quran in a ceremony that had a live coverage on Bauchi television BATV, Bauchi radio corporation BRC, GLO FM radio , RAY POWER among others. meaning that you swore before God and man to protect Bauchi and Bauchians, today the story is different.
Let me submit by way of conclusion, that as a governor who is supposed to be the peoples servant but now choose to see himself as a tin-god and is busy going about threatening, brutalizing and persecuting all those he perceived as enemies especially pen pushers.
Although I another thing that I notice that may throw spanner in the works of the Abubakar administration if not put under control is the governor’s quick temper . Abubakar should try to put his volcanic temper under control .Sources say he has hot temper flowing in his veins and that this makes him not to follow due process in some of his
actions. A lot of temperament issues have been widely reported about him.
As it stands now, the Emperor is running a Government of family and friends (FAF) that is absolutely clueless.
“Obviously, the Emperor has failed the good people of Bauchi State and has resorted to putting his immediate family members and close associates in key government positions to protect himself from the fear of the unknown that has enveloped him.”
