Apc Not Prepared For Leadership? Perish The Thought

“I freed a thousand slaves, I could have freed more if only they knew they were slaves” – Harriet Tubman

They say they are yet to see the change APC promised. They say APC is not prepared for leadership. They claim they are being led to the Golgotha by APC. They claim that the thieving elites of the past 16years are better than the people in the saddle today. They abuse President Buhari for working hard to pick from the pieces of the past and celebrate Jonathan for creating the pains of yesterday and today.

They want President Buhari to fail at all cost. They want the Avengers, Boko Haram, IPOB and others to take over Nigeria. They wish PDP is still in power to continue with their brigandage and profligacy. They curse the day APC was conceived, they curse the day APC was registered, they curse the day APC rode to power and abuse the world for letting this to happen. They weep that things may never be the same again as feeding bottles have been taken away from their mouths and thrown into the Atlantic Ocean.

Yes, they are at liberty to wish APC a death sentence but can it ever happen? Is PDP an alternative? Can Nigerians gamble with PDP again? Can a piece of wood sharpen iron? Can the blind lead the man with eyes? Can one hand cover the sun? Can you fetch water with a basket? Can one man stop a moving trailer with bare hands? Impossible, impossible and impossible!

I am aware that the leadership of APC and the President are facing some challenges left and right because some strange characters and reprobate minds are still within the fold. I know that corruption is fighting back in every sector be it the Civil Service, National Assembly, Banks, Presidency, Judiciary and even from ordinary Nigerians. I know that Nigeria operate a mono economy that is crude oil economy. I know that oil price has crashed leaving Nigeria to gasp for breathe. I know that Nigeria import almost everything including toothpick and toilet rolls. I know that we live a false life here and even on borrowed wardrobes. I know that we are not productive people but people with brazen desire for foreign goods and morbid consumerism attitude for exotic items.

However, the change mantra is here to stay and it is a process that will take sometime to move from expectations to manifestations. Change is not an event. It takes time for a new born child to learn to sit, to crawl, to stand, to work and to run. I am seeing the signs of a greater tomorrow everyday as we progress. I can see what is happening in the Power, Housing and Works Ministry. I can see what is happening in the Agric sector, Mining sector, Banking sector, Transport and Aviation sector etc. if only we have the courage to sustain this momentum for glory of tomorrow.

We must not be like the people of Israel who abused and abused Moses as they paid the price of freedom and liberty to move away from the bondage of Egyptians. Each time they encountered a little problem, they heaped the blames on Moses. As the great exodus moved towards the Red Sea, they looked back and saw the Egyptians and their chariots and horses, left and right they were hemmed by mountains, and in front was the Red Sea. The men cried and abused Moses for bringing them out to die in the wilderness so that the Egyptians will take over their wives and children. Now because of this the Bible tells us the elderly Israelites from 21 and above except Joshua and Caleb never got to the Promised Land. They all died.  It was a forty years journey.

What am I saying? Freedom and liberty come with a price. From pains and tears of misused and abused yesterday, we can rise from the shackles of poverty to the blaze of glory. It will take some time for Nigerians to escape the trap set by PDP for 16years. When I hear people blaming APC or President Buhari for the suffering in the land, I weep for this country. How can you continue to blame the offended and ask the offenders to go scot free? Can you fix the Nigerian economy in one day when you do not have an economy at all? What do you produce as a country? What do you export as a country? What do you have as infrastructure that will attract Investors? Power, good schools, hospitals, roads, security? We wasted the 20th Century and may we not waste the 21st Century.

The dangerously corrupt PDP elites, their reprobate supporters and hangers on, the blood suckers in their midst, the unrepentant looters of everything sight, and the vampires of all times are still gathering and regrouping to return to power in 2019. They think we have forgotten the wasted years and the years of the locusts. They in the wildest imaginations think that Nigerians are waiting for them in 2019. Now let us get this clear: PDP as a political party will never produce the President of Nigeria again unless this father and mother of corruption die and a new party comes up. PDP's narrative is an unmitigated disaster. It is not an alternative in this present stage and age. APC is writing a new chapter in Nigeria's political history. Change is here. Just look deep!
