Buhari Swears In Dipeolu As Economic Adviser, Inaugurates Four Others
SAN FRANCISCO, August 10, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday inaugurated Dr. Adeyemi Dipeolu as his Special Adviser on Economic Matters, just as he swore in three other special advisers and one permanent secretary at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Others inaugurated included the Special Adviser on Social Investment, Mrs. Maryam Uwais; Special Adviser on Political Matter, Senator Babafemi Ojudu; Special Adviser on Planning, Tijani Abdullahi; and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Rafiu Enikanolaye.
The special advisers are among the 15 names approved for Buhari as aides by the National Assembly in 2015.
While Uwais, Ojudu and Dipeolu are to serve in the Office of the Vice President, Abdullahi was deployed in the Ministry of Budget and National Planning.
The brief ceremony took place shortly before the commencement of a meeting of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, which was presided over by the President.
Those who witnessed the event include: Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo, some ministers; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal; Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita; some permanent secretaries, presidential aides and other top government officials.
Also, some members of the immediate families of the appointees were present at the ceremony.
