Edo 2016: Coalition Move To Make Obaseki Governor

A coalition of Eight Ethnic groups in Edo State have Vowed to deliver Godwin Obaseki In the forth coming September 10th governorship election in the State.

The group which gathered in their number at Urhokpota Hall by Ring Road in Benin City today, insist that Godwin Obaseki is the most credible material with the right message to represent the general interest of the common Man in the Society.

The leaders of the various ethnic nationalities who spoke in their own ethnic language said their choice of the next governor was based on the core attributes of competence, integrity, Courage, Initiative, Focus and devotion to service. The group Vowed to enthrone Only God fearing and purposeful Governor rather than a coward.

Spokesperson and Leader of the Arewa Forum Alhaji Shitu Usman who addressed the Arewa Community in their local Language, appealed to all Sons and Daughters of Arewa who are based in the State to come out and support the Next Oracle of Development in the forth-coming September election Mr. Godwin Obaseki. According to Alhaji Usman, the various groups have taken time to discuss the past, present and the political future of Edo State and has come into a collective decision that Godwin Obaseki is the most outstanding among other candidates based on his profile and exposure in industrialisation.

On their part, the Chairman of the Board of Trustee of the Igbo Community in Edo State Chief Christian Ojoka expressed confidence that Godwin Obaseki is already the Governor. He said all Igbos in Edo have decided to vote for Obaseki. He maintained that the decision of the Igbo Community cut across the Igbos in APGA, PDP, APC and every other political party that exist in the State. We have taken the burden upon ourselves as a task that must be fulfilled. Godwin Obaseki can count on non-indigenes in the State in the forth-coming governorship election.

Others who were also present and given the opportunity to speak include ethnic groups from Delta State, Kogi indigenes in Edo State, and the Yoruba ethnic nationality who described, the All progressive Congress APC as a worthy party that can be Trusted for the divideds of democracy. According to them, Edo State was formerly a backward State in Nigeria without Motorable roads, poor Standard of education and lack of security until Adams Oshiomhole assumed office as the Governor of the State. "APC is one, and all we need is the continuity of a performing government" he added.

Assuring the various ethnic nationality of an all inclusive government when elected as the next governor of Edo State, the Candidate of the All progressive Congress (APC) Mr. Godwin Obaseki emphasized that Seventy Percent (70%) of his time as a governor will be focused on the development of the Edo economy. According to Obaseki, Government creates job opportunities by the creation of an enabling environment that will be attractive for investors to come and invest. As your next governor, "I will do all within my ability to ensure that we create jobs for the youths."

Obaseki who commended the efforts of the Nigerian Women in the sustainance of the Nation's economy said "Women have a special grace and ability in the Prudent management of resources and the ability to stretch small amount of money for proper accountability and accomplishment of Major task. Therefore, as a governor, 'I will support women with Finance to enable them grow and develop our economy by various trade and Bisnesses. We will give financial support and assistance to market women and make everyone have a sense of belonging in the coming dispensation.

The governorship hopeful who later went spiritual, quoted the Holy Bible and Koran that "Christ did not come for the converted but for the unconverted " He therefore appealed to all the non indigens in the State to go ahead and preach the gospel of hope and industrialisation in their various religious and social gatherings. We are all members of various Association, go and win more converts for the All progressive Congress APC so that we can all join hands together in taking Edo State to the next level. "Don't be discouraged by tribal sentiments because when I become your Governor I will not discriminate you Obaseki assured non indigenes ".
