APC Wins 18 LG Seats In Adamawa To Conduct A Fresh Election In 3 LG

In Adamawa State, the All Progressives Congress APC has won eighteen seats out of the twenty one local Government Council Polls conducted last Saturday.

Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission ADSIEC, Isa Shettima who presented Certificate of returns to the winners disclosed that the remaining three local government councils election were inconclusive which comprised, Numan, Lamurde and Michika.

Shettima who did not give the reason of the postponement of the three local government polls explained that the commission has rescheduled it to Saturday 6th of this month.

Those decleared winners and received certificate of returns as duely elected Council Chairmen including, Barrister Aliyu Wakili of Fufore, Mr. Gebron Goroki, Guyuk, Halilu Adamu, Hong, Yakubu Hamza, Gombi and Sharon Isa, Shelleng as well as Madam Walefuwa of Demsa who is the only Chairperson among others.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Governor of the State Engineer Martins Babale has immediately sworn-in the elected local Government council chairmen at Government House Yola with a called on them to carry everybody along irrespective of political differences and work for the masses.

In a state of happiness most of the elected chairmen reacted that the owe their electorates a special thanks giving by reciprocating to be hard and be fair to all people.
