WomanRising; a flagship project by The African Network of Entrepreneurs (TANOE), focused on equipping women to succeed in business, and iSpace, an organisation that promotes and supports entrepreneurs and innovators in Ghana who are building new technologies for global markets, have announced a partnership to train women entrepreneurs in building sustainable businesses under the Unlocking Women And Technology (UWAT) Project.

The partnership provides women entrepreneurs with practical entrepreneurship development training and support through organized workshops, seminars and networking events.

The UWAT Project is a program aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs with technological and entrepreneurial skills to enable the growth of their businesses, careers and life in general. The UWAT Project includes Coding Classes, Business & Entrepreneurship Workshops, Interactive Knowledge Transfer Forums and Networking Events all geared towards empowering women to innovate and grow their initiatives through technology.

The entrepreneurship workshops commences from Friday the 5th August 2016 at the iSpace Office located in Labone on the topic ‘Understanding the Basis of Entrepreneurship’. Following that will be a training session every forth night. The training topics for the workshops will be based on all the elements of building sustainable businesses like Digital Marketing and Sales, Employee and Business Development, Leadership, Bookkeeping & Accounting and many more.

Women are making waves in the business and entrepreneurship sector and they deserve all the support that can be rendered them. The partners are both hopeful that the UWAT Project will ‘Unlock’ many Women Entrepreneurs and set them on a path of success.

The Unlocking Women and Technology (UWAT) Project is an initiative of iSpace with the following partners; TANOE (WomanRising), Mobile Web Ghana, Sankofa Africa, Ghana Code Club and The Radical Leap Company.
