Incumbent President, Yoruba Community Of Nigeria In Pakistan Chief Abiodun Mustafa Greets Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari And Alake Of Egbaland, His Majesty Oba Michael Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo III

Chief Abiodun Mustafa, Ilufemiloye (1) from Oshogbo, Osun State of Nigeria and Incumbent President, Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP), on his behalf and on behalf of the entire Yoruba Community in Pakistan, has extended heartiest felicitations to the President of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari and Alake of Egbaland His Majesty Oba Michael Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo-III.

Chief Abiodun Mustafa,Incumbent President, Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP) said “the Yoruba Community in Pakistan holds in high esteem the personal efforts of Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari to transform Federal Republic of Nigeria into a great “Economic Tiger of African Content” by addressing issues of Corruption, Terrorism, Food Security, Agricultural Revival , Employment Generation and bring peace and harmony among the Nigerian Nation.

He also humbly extended warm wishes from the Current Executives of Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP), the Council of Chiefs, Odua Youth Forum to Alake of Egbaland His Majesty Oba Michael Aremu Adedotun Gbadebo-III and said Yoruba Community of Nigeria is doing a commendable job in Pakistan to promote business links between Nigeria and Pakistan besides enhancing the good image of Federal Republic of Nigeria by respecting the social, cultural and religious values of the host country, Pakistan.

He said “ Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan established on 22nd August, 2004 a socio-cultural Organization under the name of “Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP) which is a non-official, non-political, non-religious, non-terrorist, non-governmental and non-profitable platform. The major aim of YCNP is to strengthen and further develop the bridge of friendship between Pakistan and Nigeria at all levels through mutual understanding between the people of Pakistan and Nigeria under the umbrella of Nigerian Community of Pakistan (NCP) and Nigeria High Commission, Islamabad Pakistan.

On this occasion, Chief Abiodun Mustafa, Ilufemilovy (1) from Oshogbo, Osun State of Nigeria and Incumbent President, Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP) also said , “It is with immense sense of humility, I assumed the office of the President of Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan (YCNP) for the term 2013-2015 and again for the next term 2015-2017. My deepest gratitude goes to Almighty Allah. I am keenly aware of the expectations of my Executives team in Pakistan and the whole Yoruba Community across Pakistan who have shown their trust in me through transparent election process”

He said , " I assure that I will work diligently to maintain and increase that "Yoruba Trust" reposed in me and continue to promote the cause of Yorubaland in Pakistan. There is a saying, a journey of thousand kilometers starts with a step. Let me inform that I joined Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan as the lowest office in the past before I became the President today".

At the same time , I would like to thank my Secretary General (YCNP), Chief Kayode.O.Johnson, Oni Gegeara of YCNP for his continued support and prayers throughout my struggle".

He said, “ Let me proudly point out that my Executive Team and all honorable members of Yoruba Community in Pakistan will be joining with One Voice the Grand Prayers Ceremony next month on 22nd August, 2016 in Islamabad Secretariat marking the 12th Anniversary of the Founding of Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan".

He further said, “My sincerest thanks also goes to the Co-Founder Chief Asiwaju I.O.A.Omomolesho, Chief Advisor, Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan, Elder Statesman, Nigerian Community in Pakistan, The Ochendo of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Pakistan who has devoted his life to improve the lot of Nigerian Community in Pakistan as love for Nigeria runs in his blood”.

He said, “My thanks are also due to the 2nd President (YCNP Chief Daniel Ilesanmi Imuze who has also done a very good job to the Nigerian Community in thanks. Thanks to the 3rd President Khalifa Adisa Ola Babs who remained in Office for the period of 5 months and 5 days. Althought, Khalifa Adisa Ola Babs served for a very short period of time but his services for Yoruba Community in Pakistan are worth remembering”

He quoted the words of Chief Obafemi Awolowo that the Yoruba people are sufficiently enlightened and bold to refuse to be led by the nose by any person or group, however, sophisticated such person or group may appear. They are slow to anger, robust to contentions, alert to their rights and will fearlessly resist"

He said " Intelligent people always agree rather than to obey. On the other hand, military people always obey rather than to agree. But in case of Yoruba people, Leadership is a sort of intrinsic factor and it is mightily ingrained belief in Yoruba Culture. Leadership is a collective thing with Yoruba Kingdom. Therefore, I implore all honorable members of Yoruba Community in Pakistan to join hands together, please bring the wealth of your talents, suggestions, ideas, time and material resources together and help us move to the next level of success as we are entering the next decade of establishment of YCNP with pride.

He said “No input is little, we are not complete without you! My honorable members, I am always at your service, my Executives Team and Members. May Allah continue to enrich us individually and collectively to serve our motherland Federal Republic of Nigeria in Pakistan".

He concluded with the prayer, " I also offer my sincerest appreciations to our Great Ancient Obas, Yourba Royal Fathers, Paramount Chiefs and all Elders of Yorubaland for their continue glory and prosperity in the days to come and pray to Almighty Allah , May our dear Homeland Federal Republic of Nigeria under the dynamic leadership of His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari continue to shine like Moon and Stars among the comity of Nations”.
