Today marks another milestone age of this Delta-born sports analyst cum writer, Fred Edoreh, Chairman, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Lagos Chapter. As a passionate writer with love for both grassroots and national sports, he has able to use his pen to build sports champions in Nigeria and beyond.

I met Fred Edoreh few years ago while still writing for Isoko Mirror Newspaper as a columnist when he was just inaugurated as the new chairman of SWAN,Lagos Chapter, his humility displayed at that event and quickly identified himself as Isoko son to me, equally sent a signal of love to Isoko nation. For such a man who has travelled far and wide and shouldered with who is who in Nigeria could equally humble himself to a budding writer like me, then I knew he was a man from the grassroots.

Today, Fred Edoreh is one of the renowned Nigerian sports writers and analysts that has used his pen to help many Nigerians and beyond. One thing that makes him difference is that, every Isoko event in Lagos, Fred Edoreh will always assist to use SWAN hall for it. It is mostly hard to see such people like him to identify with his region in Lagos, except few. He speaks Isoko fluently with his people in the means of other tribes in Lagos State without intimidation or pretence

At 51, Fred Edoreh is a man who has created a name in the sports industry in Nigeria. Having won several awards and recognitions from the sports over the years, he remains faithful and humble to God.

Many a time I have watched Fred Edoreh speaking on sports development on major Nigerian television stations, as host and guest, I see greatest thrust in him. He has become a voice in the Nigerian sports and proffering solutions to sports issues in the country on regular basis.

To Mindset Media Limited and Gabrio Voice Magazine, we are proud of this great Umeh-born sports analyst with creativity. He knows how to carry everybody along when it comes to sports administration in Nigeria. Ever-smiling and easy-going sports analyst remains one man that wants the best hands to handle sports leadership in Nigeria.

Once again, happy birthday bash to my great mentor of our time, a man that wants other younger writers and publishers to excel in life. May God continue to protect your new age in Jesus name amen.
