A Tribute to Sir Lawrence Adedoyin

Few weeks ago, the demise of the first Nigerian man to site the largest private refinery on August, 2015 at Badagry West of Lagos State,2007 Presidential Candidate of the African Political System (APC) and Chairman/Managing Director of Sir Lawrence Refinery Limited, Famakinde. Adedoyin, was officially announced by the family to the public. It was a huge loss not just for the family but the entire oil and gas sector in Nigeria.

Before the sudden demise of Sir Lawrence Adedoyin, he was one of the Ekiti-born philanthropists and entrepreneurs that had passion in creating job opportunities for Nigerians and beyond.

Sir Lawrence Refinery headquarters is sited at Agbara Estate in Ogun State, where his vision to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies in refining oil products in Nigeria but was cut short by the power of death.

According to one of the family friends, said Sir Lawrence Adedoyin was a very nice man that had passion in generating 20,000 jobs for youths in Nigeria and beyond.

He was so accommodating and creative to the core. His death left a huge vacuum in the oil and gas sector and the refinery project ought to have been completed this year to commence full operation but we cannot question God, he added.

Sir Lawrence Adedoyin died at 67 and survived by wife and children. He would be committed to mother earth on the 22nd of July 2016 in Ekiti State. May his Gentle soul rest in perfect peace in Jesus name Amen.
