Re: Group Petitions Buhari Over Alleged Corruption Evidence Against Okiro

By Ekene Clinton

Our attention has been drawn to a false and spurious accusation with fabricated evidence made against the Chairman, Police Service Commission, Mr. Mike Okiro by the Civil Society Network Against Corruption CSNAC accusing him of committing N275 million fraud.

We have also observed that each time the public was about to appraise the activities of the Police Service Commission, a spurious accusation levelled against its Chairman, Mr. Mike Okiro by one Aaron Kaase is being promoted by CSNAC to instigate President Buhari against Mr. Okiro.

This is what they have been doing since Mr. Buhari came to power last year. There is no doubt that their motive is to hide under the on going war against corruption to get President Buhari to remove Mr. Okiro from his job.

Furthermore, by pushing for Mr. Okiro's removal, another of their motive is to incite our Southern brothers against President Buhari by accusing him of promoting a Northern Agenda.

Therefore, we call on President Muhammadu Buhari to ignore the spurious allegations against Mr. Okiro by a cash and carry Civil Society Organisation.

We call on Mr. Okiro to focus on his job by ensuring the successful completion of the ongoing Police recruitment exercise.

We urge CSNAC to spear a thought for Nigeria espeially now that every action of the President is been misinterpreted by our Southern brothers. Signed: Mallam Abubakar Suleiman, Chairman, Arewa Youths Renaissance
