Irate Muslim youths behead Igbo woman in Kano over alleged blasphemy

Some irate, homicidal Muslims youths have  beheaded a female trader over allegations that she blasphemed Prophet Mohammed.

The tragedy happened  in the Wambai area of Kano State on Thursday, Pointblanknews.com learnt.

Barely a week ago, a Christian was murdered in Niger State  over alleged blasphemous comments about Prophet MohammedPointblanknews.com also learnt that the deceased, Mrs Bridget Patience ,  was  from Orodo Town, Mbaitoli LGA in Imo State,   Married to Mr Mike, a Member of the Deeper Life Ministry in Brigade Quarters in Kano.

Over 24 hours after the murder, no word from the Presidency, The kano state Governor, and the Emir of Kano.

The Public Relations Officer, PRO, of the Kano Police Command, DSP Musa Magaji, who confirmed the incident reportedly said the victim, who was said to be of Igbo extraction, was accused of blasphemy during a religious argument at Wambai market.

The  woman, simply indentified as Bridget, , who sells plastics at the local market, was in the company of her husband when she was murdered; but for the timely intervention of the police, he would have been lynched.

She was said to have blasphemed Prophet Mohammed, which did not go down well with the mob.

The PPRO  said at about 4:30 pm on Thursday, there was a disagreement between the murdered woman and some traders bordering on religion when irate mob pounced on her and killed her over “some comments”.
