24 Hours Hausa News Radio Station Established In Kano

The management of Cool/Wazobia FM stations has launched a 24/7 exclusively Hausa news radio station, known as ‘Arewa Radio’ on 93.1 frequency.

Addressing newsmen during the official launching, the stations team leader, Mr. Prince Aboki pledged that the station is going to be a mixture of public interest based programmes and the purpose of establishing the news station.

According to him, the Arewa Radio has farthest frequency of 2000 megabytes which would be the envy of the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC.

Mr. Aboki disclosed that the management of the radio stations has identified a gap in the relationship between the general public and the media, adding that the lunching of the new radio station will focus on Hausa news, talks and sports.

He noted that Arewa radio station which will be broadcasting on 93.1 frequency modulation band was the first of its kind in the Nigerian media history with latest technology and equipment to cover most of the northern states.

It’s going to be solely on news dissemination. “This is the first Hausa news radio station with sports and talk programmes.
