Adamawa PDP Gets New Chairman

The rescheduled Adamawa People's Democratic Party (PDP) state congress has been concluded with Alhaji Abdulrahman Bobboi emerging as the new chairman Boko Haram: NEMA closed down 6 designated Camps in Adamawa Chief Liazarus emerged as Deputy chairman.

Bobboi and 27 other State Executive Committee members emerged through voice vote where delegates affirmed their nomination.

Secretary of the panel that conducted the congress, Mallam Sani Kutigi, called the names of nominees who were affirmed by the delegates through voice votes while the nominee for the position of Women Leader, Mrs Alberta Gangkero was rejected by the women delegates.

Speaking on behalf of the new executive after taking oath of office, the new chairman, Alhaji Abdulrahman Bobboi, thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed on them and promised that they would not disappoint the party.

Bobboi said his new executive would carry everyone along, adding that their emergence would strengthen the party and set the pace for the emergence of PDP government in the state in 2019.

Other executive member that emerged included Mr Zira Tumba as Secretary, Mr Felix Tangwami as Organizing Secretary, Mr Crowther Seth as Legal Adviser and Mallam Gidado Abdulsalam as Publicity Secretary.
