BEVERLY HILLS, April 20, (THEWILL) – Kaduna State chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN has declared that the over 5,000 pastors in its fold would rather obey God than the proposed religious bill currently before the state House of Assembly when passed into law, daring the state government to be ready to imprison them.

The PFN chairman in the state, Prof. Femi Ehinmidu, who made this assertion at a stakeholders' roundtable conference in Kaduna on Tuesday, expressed concern over the bill being sponsored by the state governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Telling the state government to be ready to jail no fewer than 5,000 pastors in the state's PFN if the government thinks it could muzzle the citizens to pass the bill into law, he held that the bill remained a recipe for crisis in the state when passed into law.

Ehinmidu further noted that unless the Kaduna government carried out wider consultations among critical stakeholders, the bill, which he said started on a faulty note, was bound to fail.
