Traditional Ruler Key into PAP Project, Promises To Lend Assistance

The Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Felix Mujuakperuo, Orhue 1, has commended the Peace Aid Project Initiative for its efforts to boost agriculture in the state.

The Orodje gave this commendation in his palace when the founder and the Chief Executive Officer of the project, Mr Benson Emakpor led a delegation to the monarch's palace to intimate him on the proposed farm in his kingdom.

The Orodje who expressed delight at the prospect of such farms in his kingdom, also promised to assist the PAP by summoning a meeting of chiefs in his palace to ensure that viable locations are provided for the farm project.

He expressed worry that the youths are fast losing their zeal to work and are being lured into crime by the quest for quick riches, adding that the Peace Aid Project offers a very good opportunity for jobless youths to be gainfully employed.

Earlier in his remarks, the CEO, Peace Aid Initiative, Mr Benson Emakpor thanked the monarch for the warm reception.

He noted that the Peace Aid Project is a Non-Governmental Agency working with communities, private investors, stakeholders and government agencies to drive development funds for the establishment of sustainable community development projects in aquaculture and livestock farming.

Mr Emakpor added that the mission of the PAP is to reduce conflict, eliminate poverty, invest in local people and improve food security among others in order to promote the diversification of Nigerian economy through agriculture.
