Adamawa Govt spends N12.43 Billion on township roads...Commissioner

In less than one year in office, the Adamawa Government on Monday announced that it has spent a total of N12.433 billion naira on township roads in the state.

Barr Lillian Nabe Kayode, state Commissioner of Works made this known during a Ministerial Media Parley organized by state ministry of information held in Yola.

Kayode said Governor Bindow is remarkably doing well in giving the entire state a new look through roads project,Yola the state capital and Mubi town the work is 15 and 30 percent completion.

“In less than one year in office, the administration of Governor Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow has spent a total of N12.434 billion naira on 53.76 Kilometers’ Yola and Mubi townships roads constructions Kayode said.

She explained that presently in Jimeta- Yola and mubi there were about 46 township roads under constructions.

According to the Commissioner, some of the roads especially in Jimeta and Yola have reached 80 per cent completion.

She also said that they will prosecute any company or individuals that is indicted to the absconding of work awarded to AG Vision construction company if need be ,which at some point left unnoticed from mobilized sites

Nabe listed Yola western bye pass, Faro Water/Sunshine motor park double carriage and Jambutu in Jimeta –Yola were among the projects executed.

While Ahmadu Bello way, Mubi Central Primary School, Maiha Street was also among the roads project in Mubi

She said that among the state government top priority was roads constructions and that due process was followed in awarding the projects.
