NGO Insists Youth Empowerment Critical

A non governmental organisation known as Organisation for Global Youth peace Empowerment and Development initiative (GYPEDI) has called on the Present administration to empower youths in Nigeria.

Especially those that are jobless,as this will go a long way to salvage most of the problems Nigeria is faced with. since it is an established fact that youths constitute about 54% of Nigeria's total population, any attempt to neglect their empowerment will have adverse effects on Nigeria .

The call was made when Representatives of the Organisation made a tour to different communities and Youth leaders across Delta and Edo State.

The south south coordinator of the Organisation, Mr Tabowel Golden used the medium to charge youths across south south states to always be peaceful and law abiding citizens as this will bring about speedy process of empowerment to the south south region.

The group also called on state government and other relevant agencies to do all within their power to salvage the high rate of unemployment in the region the group has equally promised to train 1000 youths in different skills accusations programs as part of its effort to support youths empowerment and development.
