Nigerian, Olamide Davies Talabi, Appointed Commissioner For African Commission In Newark, New Jersey

The numbers of Nigerians that have distinguished themselves in various spheres in the diaspora has been increased with the appointment of Hon. Olamide Davies Talabi as a Commissioner for African Commission in Newark, NJ, United States of America.

The appointment is for a period of four years and may be renewed.

She was sworn in on Monday, February 29, 2016 at the Newark City Hall in New Jersey.

In her speech, she promises to work with other Commissioners to promote policies and awareness of issues concerning the cultural, social, economic, political, educational and general well being of the Africans here in the Diaspora in such a way that would also benefit the City and the United States as a whole.
