Yoruba Diaspora In Pakistan To Join Hands With Lagos State Governor His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode For Lagos Golden Jubilee Jubilations Next Year

Mr. Kayode.O.Johnson, Secretary General (YCNP), Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan disclosed after a meeting of Yoruba Executive Member of YCNP chaired by Incumbent President, Yoruba Community in Pakistan, Chief Abiodun Mustafa, Ilufemiloye (1) that “Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan have unanimously decided to join hands with Lagos State Governor His Excellency Akinwunmi Ambode and proud Lagosians for the next year Lagos Golden Jubilee Jubilations.

He added that Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan holds in high esteem the historic decision of His Excellency Lagos State Governor Akinwunmi Amode to celebrate the climax and joy of Golden Jubilee of Lagos State which will further bring to limelight the historic achievements of “Black Race” for Federal Republic of Nigeria.He also thanked the Great Nigerian Traditional Rulers, Royal Fathers, Obas and Chiefs, particularly, the Oba of Lagos for the gracious support to strengthen Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Johnson, Secretary General (YCNP) said that Yoruba Community of Nigeria in Pakistan said that in the first phase Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan will stage Yoruba Cultural Performance shows to the Pakistani Nation through Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) . He said these cultural events would focus on great traditional Yoruba rich heritage and “Black Race” as Yoruba culture is recognized as the most civilized and urbanized people in the whole of Africa.

He added that Yorubas are deeply religious people and today Yorubas consist of Muslims and Christens and many follow traditional Yoruba religion faith but our hearts are always united with the Proud Lagos Yorubas and Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Mr. Kayode.O.Johnson, Secretary General (YCNP) also highlighted that Yoruba Diaspora in Pakistan under the umbrella of Pakistan Nigeria High Commission will also hold exhibition of Yoruba dresses, Yoruba Foods, Yoruba musical instruments as these things manifest the rich culture of Yorubaland besides playing various friendly football matches between Yoruba people and Pakistani Youth in the Federal Capital and across Pakistan to promote healthy activities and better understanding of Yorubaland in Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
