Adamawa APC Youths And Women Leaders Solicits For Political Appointments

All Progressives Congress (APC) youth and Women leaders in the 21 Local Government Areas of Adamawa have solicited for political appointment as Supervisory Councillors from the state government.

The leaders made the appeal in Yola during a solidarity visit to the newly appointed state Acting chairman of the party, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, at the the party secretariat.

Speaking on behalf of the youths and women leaders, the state Youths Leader of the party, Abubakar Dan Azumi Toungo, said the youths and women had played a vital role in the victories of APC at all levels in the state and would want to see their leaders being carried along by given them appointments in government.

"As youth and women leaders, we want to be actively engage in governance particularly at the grassroots level.

"We want all the youth and women leaders in the 21 local government areas of the state to be given appointments as Supervisory Councillors for them to continue to contribute actively in the implementation of our party transformation agenda", Toungo said.

Also speaking the Youth Leader of Numan Local Government, Gabriel William and Women Leader of Yola North Local Government, Amina Malamre, also make case for an appointment declared the youth and women support to the acting state chairman and Governor Bindow Jibrilla.

In his remarks, newly Appointed Adamawa APC state chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, who lauded the youth and women for their role in the party successes promised to forward their request to the Governor.

Bilal lauded Governor Jibrilla for making the party proud by delivering dividends of democracy to electorates and urged the youths and Women to continue to support him for speedy realization of the party change mantra.

The chairman said he would soon commenced tour of local governments in the state to receive advise and complaints of members with a view to help government concentrate on people oriented project.

"I want to commend the active role played by our youths and women in forming this government and to assure you that I will try to fix a meeting between you and the governor to see how he can further engage you in moving the state forward."

He urged them to shun sentiments and work for peace, unity and justice in the party and state in general.

In Another development, the Adamawa APC chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, has received some decampees who left PDP and SDP to join APC.

The about 100 decampees are from Michika, Mubi, Mayo-Belwa, Song and Hong Local Government areas of the state.
