Criticisms Are Welcomed In Politics Says Ajidagba

By Godday Odidi

The Chairmanship Aspirant under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) and the former Ifelodun LCDA chairman, Hon. Fatai Ajidagba recently spoke with Mindset Media Limited that criticisms are welcomed in politics. My running for second term is to complement the good works I started in my first tenure in office. In politics, if people do not criticize you, it means something is wrong somewhere.

Adding that, some grassroots journalists have sold their conscience for mere gratifications instead of being objective in disseminating information to the public. Many alleged that I sponsored area boys to cause mayhem in the local government while in power then but the fact remains that I hate hooliganism in politics. I want people to criticize me than just praising my good works.

I know very well that other aspirants within Ifelodun LCDA are vying for the same chairmanship position. I want to state here that everybody is free to contest but only past numerous grassroots achievements will bring the best out of us all aspirants in the local government. I am not afraid of any aspirant; it is the people that would decide the vote.

He further stated that any follower who associates with a rich man without benefit should disassociate from such companionship. I don’t encourage such association. In life, politics has its limitations but creativity would bring the best out of that individual. Criticisms make a good politician to work harder for his people. Showering of Praises does not make a champion but criticizing objectively makes a champion, he said.
