The United Nations Information Centerinvites Nairobi-based Journalists to cover The Visit of H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria To the UN HQ in Gigiri Date: 28 January, 2016 Time: 11:00am

On arrival at the UN Headquarters, H.E. Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, will be received by Ms. Sahle-Work Zewde, Director-General, UNON. The President will inspect a UN Guard of Honour and then be introduced to senior UN Officials including Mr. Achim Steiner, Executive Director, UNEP, Mr. Joan Clos, Executive Director, UN Habitat and Mr. Siddarth Chatterjee, UN Resident Coordinator ,a.i. His Excellency will then plant a tree to commemorate his visit , and tour the UN "Green Building" which Headquarters both UNEP/UN Habitat. His last interaction before departing will be a short address to UN staff in Conference Room 3.
