Obiano Will Serve Two Tenures – APGA Trustee

By Anambra Times

A member of Board of Trustees of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and the Igbo spiritual leader, Chief Rommy Ezeonwuka, disclosed yesterday that Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state would be returned for second tenure because of his achievements within one year and nine months in office.

Making this disclosure in his office at Rojenny Games Village Oba, near Onitsha, the APGA Trustee member regretted that those who want the governor removed at all cost have continued to blackmail him by saying that he has not been able to achieve anything except on security.

He said, “those who want to bring down Obiano should be sent to Psychiatric Hospital as they may be suffering from mental neurosis”.

“This is a governor who came and chased away all the armed robbers, criminals and kidnappers out of the state. This is something the past regimes were not able to do”, he stated.

“Our people should be sincere in their demands. This is the first time everybody returned home and celebrated Christmas and New Year periods without any form of armed robbery and kidnapping. So many states cannot pay salaries of workers but Anambra does not experience that because of prudent management of resources and hard work by the governor,” he said.

Also on the continued detention of the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, he warned that the Federal Government is taking risk by incarcerating him in detention.

“There is no gain incarcerating him, he did not carry arms, he was talking from the angle of freedom of speech even if he was abusive, there is nothing wrong in talking about marginalization. We have to industrialize the South East and make our Biafran land look like Taiwan, Japan and other industrialized countries,” he said.
