Iman Niger Honours Dr. Mustapha Jibril, 2 Others In Minna

The Niger State Chapter of the Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria, IMAN has honoured the Niger State Commissioner for Health and Health Services, Dr. Mustapha Jibril, his colleague, the Commissioner for Environment, Mines and Solid Minerals, Dr. Aliyu Muhammad Tangwagi and Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima Agaie, the Supervisory Councilor Health, Agaie Local Government Area Caretaker Committee with a WALIMAT Ceremony at the School of Midwifery, Tunga, Minna, Niger State.

The reception hosted by Pharmacist Dr. Muhammad A. Audi, IMAN Niger’s Chairman was chaired by, Dr. I. B. Sule mni, with Special Guest, Pharmacist Dr. Haruna Aliyu, the Executive Director, Drug and Hospital Consumable Management Agency, Niger State and Guest of Honour, Dr. Ibrahim Tiffi Shugaba, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Health Services has Short NASIHATS from 2 prominent Islamic clerics in Niger State. Mallam Umar Dada Paiko spoke on “LEADERSHIP IN ISLAM” while Mallam Muhammad Kudu Tafiyan spoke on ”THE SIGNIFICANCE OFSACRIFICE WITH ONESELF, WEALTH AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE COURSE OF ALLAH” respectively. The Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria, IMAN, was founded in the Holy City of Makkah in 1989 by a group of Nigerian Health Professionals performing that Year’s Hajj. IMAN was subsequently registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, RC NO: 7926 on11th July, 1994 with an overall objective to bring into closer union all Nigeria Muslim Health Care Professionals, to render greater services to humanity with the Fear of ALLAH SWT in mind always.

In his opening remarks, the host, Pharmacist Dr. Muhammad A. Audi said the WALIMAT was organized to invoke ALLAH SWT’s guide and protection on their brothers who have been chosen by ALLAH SWT through his Excellency, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello to serve Nigerlites while in the same vein, the Chairman of the Occasion, Dr. I. B. Sule mni, enjoined Nigerlites to at all times be prayerful and render their maximum cooperation to Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s led Change Agenda for the betterment of Nigerlites and of a great Niger State.

The 1st Speaker, Mallam Umar Dada Paiko who spoke on LEADERSHIP IN ISLAM, re-echoed the expectation of the Holy Qur’an and the Hadith of the Holy Prophet, Peace Be On Him, on who so ever is chosen or appointed as a leader, Mallam Dada was quoted saying “The Position you have accepted is a burden on you, So, everything you must do while discharging your duties must aim to please ONLY ALLAH SWT because if you aim to please anybody not ALLAH SWT, then you have failed already”. Mallam Dada added that the appointees must always be sure they follow the path of ALLAH SWT and that is because any path away from ALLAH’s path is absolute failure. He enjoined them to be patient, prayerful, honest, and transparent above all, ensure they do not betray the trust bestowed on them.

According to Mallam Muhammad Kudu Tafiyan who spoke on THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SACRIFICE WITH ONESELF, WEALTH AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE COURSE OF ALLAH, he advised those honoured with the WALIMAT to always speak the truth and damn the consequences. He also enjoined them to lead in accordance with Islamic injunctions while always being humble before ALLAH SWT. Mallam Tafiyan was quoted saying “The welfare of the people you are leading must be a priority; you all must have Zero Tolerance for Corruption, your Missions and Visions must be ALLAH and ALLAH ALONE”.

Dr. Mustapha Jibril who spoke on behalf of the honoured appointees by IMAN Niger State reiterated their collective resolve to serve Nigerlites with the very best of their abilities while reechoing Governor Abubakar Sani Bello’s CHANGE aspirations and desires for a better Niger State, a better Niger State where Job Creation, Women and Youth Empowerment is given due attention, a better Niger State of Quality and Affordable Education and Health Care Delivery for all. A better Niger State of Value Reorientation, Industrialization, Public Service Reform as well as Human and Food Security.
