In a related development Credible sources suggest that a flag operation is underway in Sokoto with the view to attacking members of the Islamic Movement under the leadership of Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky in Sokoto.

According to the reliable source the plot if executed, will involve shoot outs at the Army Barracks in the name of revenge by members of the Islamic movement, which may justify heinous attack on the target by the military.

This plot is not unconnected with the stance of the Sultan and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Muhammad Saad Abubakar III on the recent Zaria massacre.

Sultan Muhammad Saad Abubakar III earlier condemned the attacks and demanded for investigation, which did not go down well with the government.

In a statement signed by the National President of the Media Forum of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Ibrahim Musa, the movement draws the attention of relevant security agencies and the general public that the Islamic Movement is not and will never be involved in any armed conflict with the security agencies or any group in the society.

Ibrahim Musa explained that therefore, any such attack attributed to Islamic movement is false and mischievous.
