By Emeka Ozumba

In a move to re-enforce the prevalent sense of security of lives and property across the state and keeping with the tradition since the inception of the administration of Governor Willie Obiano, the Anambra State government is scheduled to hold Anambra State Heritage Christmas Carol at the once dreaded Upper Iweka axis Onitsha beginning from 6pm on Monday December 21, 2015.

An announcement by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Barrister (Mrs.) Uju Nwogu inviting Ndi Anambra to the epoch making religious and communal gathering, called on all to "come and worship the Lord and sing hymns unto His praise as we commemorate the joyful birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ"

The Governor of Anambra State is expected to grace the event with other members of the State Executive Council, top government functionaries, members of the state House of Assembly, traditional rulers, presidents general of town unions, captains of industries, corporate groups, the clergy, religious organizations, market men and women, students and the public.

The Anambra State Heritage Christmas Carol 2015 performance is being held as the only major activity in the yearly Anambra Heritage Festival which is scaled down due to the lean resources of the state.
