The Delta State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Olorogun Otega Emerhor (OON) joined millions of Nigerians today to congratulate and wish President Muhammadu Buhari a superlative birthday celebration.

Emerhor in a statement released by his Chief Publicist, Dr Fred Oghenesivbe described Mr President as a God sent to the Nigerian Nation at this critical time of economic quagmire to open a new page of socioeconomic re-construction after over 16 years of massive looting of our national treasury by past leaders and certain cabals in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He said celebrating President Buhari's birthday had to be in extreme low key throughout the country because of his acute hate for unnecessary wastage of the nation's material and financial resources for normal or regular personal issues such as birthdays and Chieftancy titles.

The Delta APC leader believe strongly that the on-going war against corruption now in top gear somehow coincided with the President's birthday but will not in anyway water down the serious commitment of the federal government to nail all those who collaborated in 16 years to empty our national treasury.

Emerhor urged President Buhari to keep doing the needful to sanitize the entire system including the judiciary which is the last hope of the oppressed people of Nigeria, pointing out that some election riggers who are now in control of State financial resources are looting public treasury directly or indirectly to corrupt some key law officers to frustrate the course of justice; which is why the Chief Justice of the Federal promise to beam his search light on the judiciary.

Delta APC celebrates the solid pedigree and superb leadership qualities of President Buhari. We pray Almighty God to grant him divine wisdom, courage and long life to lead the nation to a greater and enviable height, the statement added.
